🌟 New Nutrition Break Menu Item: Our Child Nutrition Team is now offering freshly baked cinnamon rolls as a new Nutrition Break item. The cinnamon rolls will be available every other Friday at CVUSD middle and high schools. Our Redwood Vikings recently tasted the new item for the first time, and gave it two big thumbs up - check out the video below for more of their reaction.

CVUSD is proud to share that it has been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). This honor recognizes school districts that uphold the highest standards of financial reporting and transparency. The CVUSD is the only school district in Ventura County to complete the requirements of this rigorous reporting process.
The CVUSD earned the Certificate of Excellence for its exemplary Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ending in June 30, 2025. This is the sixth consecutive year that the CVUSD has earned this distinction.
Congratulations to CVUSD’s Business Services Department on their exemplary work in earning this well-deserved recognition! Click here to learn more.
Congratulations to the team of 4th and 5th grade students from Westlake Elementary School who used their outstanding creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills to earn top awards at the Odyssey of the Mind state tournament, securing them a spot at the upcoming Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Ames, Iowa! The Wizards team earned first place in their problem category and secured second place overall, an extraordinary achievement.
This is the first team in Westlake Elementary history to advance to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, where they will compete alongside more than 700 teams from around the globe.
This record-setting team has been working on their chosen Odyssey problem since October, and has been competing in Odyssey of the Mind since the first grade.
