Principal's Update
Dear Crabapple Crossing Elementary Families,
We are just one week away from Open House at CCES, and we could not be more excited to welcome our families back and see all of our wonderful Colts! Open House will be held on Friday, July 31, from 8:30–10:30 a.m. Please plan to enter through the front doors upon arrival.
As I begin my second year as principal of CCES, I am filled with excitement for all that lies ahead. Our teachers and staff have been working hard throughout the summer, planning engaging learning experiences and preparing for an incredible year. We are committed to helping every child grow academically while continuing to do what elementary schools do best—allow children to be children. Through meaningful learning, positive relationships, creativity, laughter, and opportunities to explore and discover, we want every student to feel challenged, supported, and excited to come to school each day.
We are currently finalizing class lists, and homeroom placements will not be considered final until July 30. At that time, you will receive an email from your child's homeroom teacher welcoming your family to the 2026–2027 school year.
We cannot wait to kick off another amazing year together and look forward to seeing you at Open House.
Go Colts!
Working Together,
Laura

Afternoon Carpool Procedures
As we prepare for another great school year, we would like to share an important reminder about afternoon carpool procedures. For the safety of all students, families, and staff, we ask that vehicles do not line up past the designated Friendship Park crosswalk while waiting for afternoon dismissal.
When cars line up in front of parking spaces, it prevents other families and visitors from safely entering and exiting their parking spots. This creates unnecessary congestion and can create unsafe conditions for both pedestrians and drivers. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our campus safe and traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.
