Message from Ms. Lahey
Greetings Hembree Families,
It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end. It has been an incredibly busy summer at Hembree as we prepare the building for our return. I received word this week that administrators will soon be allowed back into the building. Once we are able to return, I will notify the community in case you need to stop by.
This year, Hembree Springs will be celebrating 25 years of Magic! Be sure to check out our commemorative T-shirts below. PTA will also be hosting a Spirit Day on Open House Day—please see the flyer below for details.
I am very excited to welcome our teachers and staff back on Monday, July 27, and our students and families shortly thereafter. Open House will be held on Friday, July 31. Please see the information below for details.
Our fabulous PTA makes such a difference in the experiences we provide for students and families, and they truly help make Hembree feel like a community. Please consider joining the PTA. Membership is only $10 per person, and those funds support many important events, programs, and initiatives throughout the year. Please see the information below on how to join. Thank you in advance for supporting our wonderful school.
On a personal note, I had an amazing trip this summer. The sights along the Rhine River were breathtaking, and each destination was rich with history and culture. I will definitely be looking into another Viking excursion in the future.
I can't wait to see all of our students again very soon!
Best Regards,
Nancy Lahey
Principal

School Supply Program
Check one more thing off your list. Skip the school supply kits and the back-to-school shopping trips! Instead, our PTA purchases and stocks the teacher workroom with supplies based on each grade level's list, then continues to replenish items as needed throughout the school year.
Since classroom supplies are typically pooled and teachers know best what their students need, this program helps ensure resources are available where they're needed most. This upcoming school year marks the third year of this successful program.
How to Support
Families make a $65 donation per student to help fund classroom supplies:
- 1 student = $65
- 2 students = $130
3 students = $195
Here is the link https://hembreespringselementary.givebacks.com/shop/items/ffe1fb6f41f7e3.
Please note that donations cover supplies for all grade-level classrooms but do not include supplies requested by Specials teachers.
Please Join the PTA
Dear Hembree Springs families,
A new school year is almost here, and we're excited to welcome you back in just a few short weeks as we celebrate 25 Years of Magic at Hembree Springs Elementary! Our school was established in 2001, and over the summer, renovations to our floors, ceilings and air conditioning will be ready to welcome you and hundreds of excited children back into the halls of HSES. With Principal Nancy Lahey at the helm, nearly 100 teachers and staff are preparing for a wonderful and historic school year.
As a past PTA member, we hope you'll renew your $10 membership and continue being part of the community that helps make Hembree such a special place.
If you're new to Hembree Springs or have never been a PTA member before, we'd love for this to be the year you join us! There's no expectation to volunteer—just a desire to stay connected and support the incredible students, teachers, and staff who make our school so special.
Join the Kingdom. Keep the Magic Alive.
Step 1: Become a PTA Member/Renew
Membership is just $10 per person.
Your PTA membership is your invitation into our school community. It helps you stay connected to everything happening at Hembree Springs—not just PTA events, but school events, important announcements, volunteer opportunities, family activities, and other news throughout the year.
One membership per person. You can also purchase memberships for your spouse or partner, your student(s), grandparents, or anyone else who wants to support Hembree Springs!
One important thing to know: Becoming a PTA member does not mean you're signing up to volunteer. Many of our members simply enjoy staying informed, supporting the school, and having a voice in the PTA. Whether you volunteer often, occasionally, or not at all, your membership matters and is greatly appreciated.
Renewing is Easy!
On July 1, you received an email from Totem with a link to renew your membership.
Or you can renew anytime by:
Logging into your Totem account.
Clicking Memberships.
Selecting Membership Details.
Clicking the Renew button.
Become a New Member

Step 2: Help Keep the Magic Alive
When renewing, you'll also have the opportunity to make an optional donation to our 25 Years of Magic Annual Campaign. Click on Add a Donation and browse the suggested levels.
Prefer to keep fundraising simple? Many families choose to make one generous gift to our Annual Campaign at the start of the school year and consider their fundraising support complete. It's an easy, no-fuss way to make a big impact!
While your $10 membership helps build our PTA community, donations to our Annual Campaign help fund the experiences that make Hembree Springs such a magical place to learn and grow.
Your gift helps support:
Student enrichment programs
Teacher grants and classroom support
Family events
Staff appreciation
Campus enhancements
School traditions and special celebrations
Suggested Giving Levels
Kingdom Friend – $25
Royal Supporter – $50
Castle Champion – $100
Magic Maker – $250
Every gift, no matter the size, helps us continue creating magical experiences for our students and staff.
Thank you for being part of our PTA family. We can't wait to celebrate this milestone year with you!
Here's to 25 Years of Magic—and the next chapter we'll create together!
Thank you,
Janet Pelletier
