Staff Device Swap - Thursday, September 12 Staff Device Swap - Thursday, September 12

For staff members receiving new devices on September 12, here are some updates from Tech Services about the process.

    • Remind staff to remove all stickers and decorations from their old devices.
    • Save files from their desktop to Google Drive or another backup location.
    • Staff will need to return all current devices (laptops, iPads) issued to you including power cords. Staff may be charged for missing power cords. Teachers may be asked to pay for missing equipment.
    • There will be techs and media staff on hand to check in old devices, check out new devices, and help with any support needs during the day.
    • If you miss the device distribution day, you will work with Latrel for a time to get your new devices. They will not be left in the media center for you.

Book Breaks - Fall 2024 Book Breaks - Fall 2024

We are bringing authors into the classroom with personalized live stream visits through BookBreak. We started this service last year. These best-selling authors will talk for about 10-15 minutes so it's easy to fit into the day, and there is at least 1 author talk per month (2 coming up this month!).

When you register for an author talk, you get access to lesson plans, pre/post discussion tools, videos of book readings, and the opportunity to submit questions from your class before the visit begins. Check out the Fall schedule below and we'll talk about Book Break at your next team meeting.
