History Day Presentations
Congratulations to the students in Mr. Pawlak’s Honors American History class who excelled in
their History Day presentations on Friday, April 4th. Students picked topics from a wide range of
topics in American History, and presented their knowledge to a large number of visitors in the
school media center. Some of the topics picked were the Salem Witch Trials, to code breaker
Elizabeth Friedman, to the Cold War, to women in baseball. This year's theme was “rights and responsibilities in history."
Senior Survey
Attention Seniors!
We are nearing graduation and we want to celebrate you and your post graduate plans!
We are asking each senior to please complete the survey below by Friday, 4/11/25. We use this information for many important things including Senior Awards Night and tracking data throughout the years. Your input is much appreciated!

Student Reassignment Renewal
If your child currently attends Corinth Holders High School on reassignment, it is time to renew your reassignment request.
To keep your student enrolled at their current school, you must complete the reassignment renewal through SchoolMint no later than April 18, 2025. Please visit https://bit.ly/jcpsreassignment and click Student Reassignment to submit your request.
If the renewal is not completed, your student will be assigned to their base school based on the address on file.
2025-2026 Course Registration
- Counselors are visiting classrooms to register students for the next school year.
- During those visits, students receive a copy of their transcript along with a credit check form that outlines the courses needed for graduation. We encourage families to review their child’s transcript and credit check form after the classroom visit.
- Also during the visit, students are entering the course selections they made on their registration forms into their Xello Course Planner. Your student can show you what they put in for their course selections.
- Students who are unable to submit their selections into Xello can schedule an appointment with their counselor to have an individual meeting.
- Course selection verification sheets will be sent home after classroom registration visits are completed with all grade levels. Corrections and changes can be made after you review this verification sheet with your student.
The above appointments are for students. If students would like to meet with their counselors individually, students should complete the form using their JCPS email.

FAFSA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a form used to apply for federal financial aid for college or career school, including grants, work-study, and loans. It's a free application that helps determine your eligibility for federal, state, and school aid.
Currently we have 194 of 553 seniors who have completed the FAFSA and we average 90% of the senior class who attend either community college or a four year school. Thus, we still have over 300 seniors (and their parents) who need to complete the FAFSA. This is especially important for any students who want to attend Johnston Community College and take advantage of The Commissioner's Promise Program which will pay for tuition for four semesters at JCC. The free tuition at JCC is only activated if the FAFSA is complete and JCC is indicated as a school to receive the information.
