The Falcon's Nest

Dear Fernway Families,

I hope you and your family are enjoying a wonderful summer!

It is truly an honor to join the Fernway community as your new principal. I've already had the opportunity to meet and work alongside some of our outstanding staff, and it's clear that Fernway is a special place. I'm excited to continue building relationships with our students, families, and staff in the months ahead.

While students are enjoying a well-deserved break, there has been plenty of excitement at Fernway as we prepare for the upcoming school year. Construction continues to make great progress, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back into our beautiful, updated learning spaces.

As we get closer to the start of the school year, please be sure to register for and check your ParentSquare account regularly, as it will be our primary source of communication for important updates. If you haven't yet registered or signed in, please see the information below for instructions. Also, if you have an incoming kindergarten student, be sure to see the information below about our Kindergarten Roundup on August 17! We can't wait to welcome our newest Fernway Falcons!

Enjoy the rest of your summer, and I look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Sincerely,

John Conley

Important Update: Kindergarten Roundup – Monday, August 17

We are so excited to welcome our newest Fernway kindergarten students and their families on Monday, August 17!

Please note that Fernway’s Kindergarten Roundup schedule has changed. Due to ongoing construction at Fernway and limited parking, Roundup will now be held at three separate times.

Please attend the session for your child’s teacher:

K-1 – Mrs. Zakes: 9:00 – 9:30 a.m.
K-2 – Mrs. Forst: 10:00 – 10:30 a.m.
K-3 – Mrs. Cassidy: 11:00 – 11:30 a.m.

During Roundup, families will gather in their child’s kindergarten classroom. You’ll hear from Principal Mr. Conley, your child’s teacher, our school nurse, and our school secretary. You’ll also learn about our PTO and the many ways they support Fernway students and families.

We’ll share helpful information about school communication, lunches, reporting absences, and arrival and dismissal procedures. Most importantly, your child will have an opportunity to see their classroom and become a little more familiar with Fernway before the first day of school.

If you are unable to attend your child’s assigned session, please contact the Fernway office so we can assist you.

We can't wait to meet you and welcome you to the Fernway family.

See you on August 17!
