Fall Picture Day

Fall Picture Day will be held Thursday, September 3rd. You should have received a packet including information about the different packages with pricing, or you can build your own package by going online in last week's Friday Folder. You may send money directly to school in the envelope provided - correct change only or checks made payable to "Strawbridge", or you may pay online at Strawbridge.net. Lugoff Elementary's online code is PX510642. Whether you purchase a packet or not, every child' picture will be taken, unless you send in a note stating otherwise, to be included in our school's yearbook.

iReady Reports

Families, by next Friday (September 4th), you should receive your child's Fall iReady Report. Your child's teacher will explain the report to you during parent conferences. If you have already had your parent conference and need assistance explaining the results, please contact your teacher for a time that she can explain them to you.

Career Day is coming up on Thursday, September 24th and we need YOU to be a Guest Speaker! Career Day is from 8:15am-1:45pm with a break for lunch.

If you have a career you would like to share with our students, please fill out this form:

Career Day Interest Form

Please note that not all will be contacted to participate, based on need and scheduling. If selected, Mrs. Hancock will contact you with further details. Thank you for helping our students DREAM BIG!

Car Rider Line

The car rider line works wonderfully in the afternoons thanks to you! If we could make just one adjustment, this would move things along a little quicker. Some of you are strapping your little ones in at the loading numbers. We kindly ask that you pull past the first loading spot to complete this action so that the traffic flow can continue. Many of you are already doing this, and we appreciate it!

Technology Fee Reminder

Families,

In keeping with KCSD School Board policy, all students in grades 1st - 5th need to pay a $10 technology fee before they can bring a device home. This and other fees can be paid online. To pay, you can go to www.myschoolbucks.com and create an account or log in to an existing one. Payments can be made by visiting the "School Store." Myschoolbucks.com charges a processing fee for online payments. You may also send $10 (cash or check made payable to LES) to your child's teacher, or you may drop it off at the front office. This fee must be paid each year and covers charges for Chromebook damages. The KCSD insurance plan covers the cost of one (1) accidental repair per school year; however, any damages or repair costs beyond the first incident will be the responsibility of the student/parent/guardian. Please refer to pages 73 and 74 of the Parent Handbook below for additional information.
