Irving Families -
Thank you to everyone who came out to Family Fitness Night last week! It was great to see so many families and students having fun, staying active, and working out indoors away from a chilly Berwyn evening. A big thank you to the staff who helped make it such a successful night.
The holidays have passed, and the quiet cold of winter is settling in. As we head into the depths of winter, this is a meaningful time to support those in need. Next week, our OAV Club will be hosting a two-week toiletry drive to help stock our Little Free Pantry. Please see the flyer below for more details. Donations can be dropped off in the front office.
Looking ahead to next week, there will be no school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On Tuesday, we will have a half day for students due to a School Improvement Plan (SIP) day. Student hours on Tuesday will be 8:25 AM – 11:30 AM. Please note that Preschool will not be in session on Tuesday, as Preschool will be holding their Family Connection Day.
On Wednesday evening, our Black Parent Advisory Committee will meet at 7:00 PM in the teacher’s lounge to discuss and plan for Black History Month. If you are available and interested in contributing, we would love for you to attend.
It’s hard to believe, but Friday marks the end of the second quarter. With that, we say goodbye to Mr. Gunderlock and art class as he transitions to Komensky, and we are excited to welcome Ms. Fernandez and science lab for the next two quarters.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Mr. Stachura
