A Note from the Principal A Note from the Principal

Week 13, Day 58/180

We have already accumulated an incredible amount of clothing in our Lost & Found bin so far this year. Some items look new and expensive! All items are currently on display in the foyer outside the main lobby, and we hope students will take a moment to look through the collection and reclaim anything that belongs to them. We will keep everything out through Parent Conferences, and any remaining items will be donated to Wellspring afterward.

Tomorrow is the final day of our sixteenth annual Canned Food Drive, one of my favorite traditions of the school year. Thank you to all the families who have already contributed. Every non-perishable item truly makes a difference. As always, all donations will go directly to Wellspring, and the JES class and JMS House that collect the most cans will earn special recognition and prizes.

The excitement continues on Wednesday with our annual Turkey Trot. Families of students in grades four through seven are invited to join us for both the pep rally and the race. Only Turkey Trot volunteers will need to sign in through the main office. All other spectators should enter through the gym, with doors opening at 9:15 for a prompt pep rally start at 9:30. We kindly ask visitors to remain in the gym area so we can maintain a safe environment for all students. The race is expected to begin at 10 o’clock, followed by an awards ceremony at approximately 10:45. As parking will be extremely limited, carpooling is strongly encouraged. We look forward to sharing this joyful tradition with you.

Lastly, a quick reminder that the trimester ends on Wednesday when grades close. JES report cards will be sent home the following Wednesday, December 3, and JMS report cards will go live in Aspen that same day. Thank you for your continued partnership as we wrap up this first stretch of the school year together.

-Mr. Shaw
