NPSD District-Wide Events

Dear North Penn families,

Below are some NPSD meetings and events that may be of relevance to you and your family. The events below are only those sponsored by the North Penn School District, not school-sponsored events. This newsletter will be sent twice a month via School Messenger. As always, all NPSD events can be found on the district calendar, including school-specific events not included here. NPSD also recognizes there are many local organizations holding worthwhile programs in the community. Such events can be found on the NPSD Community Bulletin Board.

The North Penn School District is collecting items to support Manna on Main Street and our community. Each school is collecting different items to best support our neighbors. Items are being collected now through November 21.

• A.M. Kulp: rice sides (Rice-A-Roni, Knorr products, etc.)
• Bridle Path: tomato sauce
• General Nash: dried fruit
• Gwyn-Nor: granola bars
• Gwynedd Square: hygiene products (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.)
• Hatfield: canned green beans
• Inglewood: canned tuna
• Knapp: sugar, baking powder, baking soda
• Montgomery: cereal (both healthy and sugary options)
• North Wales: condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise)
• Oak Park: fruit cups and applesauce cups
• Walton Farm: pasta sides (Chef Boyardee, Knorr products, etc.)
• York Ave: tomato soup
• Pennbrook: soups (bean and seafood)
• Penndale: long pasta (spaghetti, linguine, etc.)
• Pennfield: canned meats (especially spam)
• North Penn High School: tomato products (diced, crushed, whole, pasta, etc.), short pasta (penne, elbows, egg noodles, etc.) instant white or brown rice
• Northbridge: dried fruit
• ESC/School Board: canned yams, gravy, stuffing, canned corn and green beans, muffin or quickbread mix, cream of mushroom soup, fried onions, cranberry sauce, pumpkin puree, instant mashed potatoes

Multilingual families are welcome to a "Knights Out" open house at Manna on Main Street Friday, November 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Join us for a free meal and resources from the English language development department of NPSD and Manna on Main. Translators will be on-site, and tours of the facility will be given. While there, get connected with other resources in the North Penn School District.

Join us on Tuesday, November 18 at 7 PM for a virtual presentation event via Zoom. NPSD and the Center for Effective Schools will help you learn about your children's behavior through the lens of behavior science, including strategies for managing unwanted behaviors and encouraging positive choices.
