Principal's Message

Hello NMS families.

It's been an exciting first week at NMS. Our students and staff are adjusting to the new schedule this year and the reports we are receiving in the office have been nothing but positive. Our new schedule has allowed us to expand our intervention programs throughout the building. We now have over 100 students receiving intervention assistance from staff here at NMS. We believe these programs will help our students during their middle school careers and help better prepare them for life after NMS.

I also wanted to remind parents that students are not allowed to use cell phones at any point during the school day at NMS. Cell phones are to remain in their locker and never be visible in class or in the hallways. Please encourage your child to leave their phone in their locker. Chromebooks are provided if students need access to technology. We want your child to interact with peers and staff and experience less "screen-time" while at school.

Safety for our students and staff is something we take very seriously here at NMS. Please talk to your children about the seriousness of making threatening comments regarding students, staff, or the school. No comments will be handled as a joke here at Nippersink Middle School and law enforcement will be contacted if comments are made or shared on social media. Please contact the office or use our website if you have a safety concern. Safety concerns can be submitted on the website HERE
