Dear Families,

What a week! The DC trip was a huge success, along with our 8th-grade field trips. Our 7th graders had an amazing time at the zoo, and our 6th graders continue to impress us with their creativity and dedication through their passion projects. We are also beginning to build excitement around our Summer Reading Program with students.

We are especially encouraged as we review our MAP results and preliminary OST data. Many of our students demonstrated tremendous growth, and our achievement scores continue to rise. I am incredibly proud of the hard work and learning happening each day at Sells.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we encourage our students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Your support makes a tremendous difference, and we are grateful to be on this journey together.

Have a wonderful weekend!

With ROCK Pride,

8th Grade Chromebook Collection 8th Grade Chromebook Collection

On Wednesday, May 27 all eighth-grade students will turn in their Chromebooks and chargers. They will receive a new Chromebook and charger during 9th Grade Orientation in the fall. By doing this, we can ensure that the students are equipped with their Chromebooks on the first day of the 2026-2027 school year.

IMPORTANT: If you are celebrating Eid or will not be here that day, please bring your Chromebook and case to the library on the last day before you leave.

Location: 1919 Auditorium

What to bring: Eighth graders are required to bring their Chromebook with all personal stickers removed. (The only stickers remaining on the Chromebooks should be the DCS barcode/serial number and the nametag). If the student’s Chromebook is in repair, the student should bring the loaner that was issued to them. Both case and Chromebook need to be returned to the school on this date. Please note students who do not return a case with their Chromebook may be subject to additional charges.

If you have any questions, please have your student come to the library.

We will hold our last PTO meeting on Monday, May 18th at 5:30 PM in the Sells Library. This is an important meeting, as we will be reviewing and revising our bylaws and voting in a new executive board. If you are only able to attend virtually, a Google Meet link will be shared on the day of the meeting.

If you are interested in being on the ballot or serving as a chairperson for a 2026–2027 committee, please email me and our current PTO President, Jennifer Cameron, so we can add you to the slate.

Want to help?? Want to help??

Help us Fund the FUN! Each year the PTO does things like feed teachers, host (free!) events for students, provide teacher grants, and so much more. BUT we can't do it without you! Your financial support (as well as signing up - and following through on your signup - to bring donations) allows us do to these things! Without you, none of the above can happen. If you can't make a donation, who do you know that might be able to? Do you know any businesses that might like to make a donation? We will definitely give them recognition! If you use Venmo, you can make a donation to @SellsMSPTO.
