3rd Grade Updates: 3rd Grade Updates:

Ninja Math Homework Update - To help students strengthen their multiplication skills and build fact fluency, our 3rd Grade weekly math homework will now focus on multiplication practice!

Last week, students brought home their first Ninja Math Multiplication Fluency Sheet. Each sheet includes two practice half-sheets. Students should practice their multiplication facts twice a week to help build confidence, accuracy, and speed.

We encourage you to time your child as they practice, celebrate their progress, and most importantly, HAVE FUN exploring multiplication! Thank you for your support in helping our mathematicians grow!

Library Books - Reminder that all of 3rd grade has library every Monday! Please ensure that books are making it back to school and being brought into the library in the morning!

BEE Folders - Reminder that every 3rd grade student should be bringing a yellow "BEE" folder to and from school everyday. They are responsible to stuff their folder at school in the morning and empty it out each night at home.

Headphones - Reminder students will need to have a pair of headphones to keep in our classroom.

Elle Christou

Welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Elle Christou, and I’m so excited to begin my second year teaching 3rd grade at Cherokee Trail Elementary! I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2025 with a degree in Elementary Education and a Reading Endorsement (K–8). I’m originally from the Chicagoland area and moved to Colorado last summer. I’ve loved exploring all that Colorado has to offer and becoming part of the wonderful Parker community! I’m passionate about creating a classroom where every student feels supported and has the opportunity to succeed. I love fostering curiosity through hands-on learning, collaboration, and meaningful connections while helping students grow into confident, lifelong learners.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy hiking, skiing, running, reading, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies!

Feel free to reach out to me at echristou@dcsdk12.org with any questions or concerns. I’m looking forward to another amazing year at Cherokee Trail and am so excited to work with our students and families!
