Broadmoor's Weekly Wildcat News!
September 20, 2026
Dear BES Families,
It's Book Fair Week!
It's Start with Hello Week!
Thank you to all our volunteers helping this week with our Book Fair. It is going to be a great week. All the proceeds from the Book Fair go straight back to our library for books, furniture, and more. I hope to see everyone at Family Night, Monday from 5-7pm. On Wednesday morning, we will have our Grand Event! All students are welcome to invite someone GRAND to them to come and visit the Book Fair. Ticket sales for the breakfast portion are closed, but you are still welcome to come and not eat!
Start with Hello Week is a week we dedicate to the simple act of reaching out and including others. Each day this week we have incredible people ready to welcome your students to school and activities throughout the week to inspire our students and staff to smile at others and simply say hello! You never know the impact a simple gesture can have on others!
Conferences are coming up soon! Please be thinking about what time will work for you to come to BES for your child's conference. We hold them from 4-8pm on Wednesday, October 7th and from 8am-Noon on Thursday, October 8th. If you or your business is interested in donating items for our staff breakfast, lunch, or even snacks on Oct. 8th and 12th, the link is below!
Have a great week,
Cindy Apple, Principal

Attendance and School Calendar
Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.
Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!
If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.
GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!

Blessings In a Backpack
USD #416 families,
Louisburg USD 416 participates in a local Blessings in a Backpack program. The program is designed to provide non-perishable food every Friday to children that would benefit from supplemental nourishment over the weekend. The program runs throughout the school year and there is no cost to participate.
Please complete the following form for EACH student that you would like to participate. Distribution will begin the week following Labor Day in a discreet & caring manner. The bags include food items that are easily managed by students including items such as bars, snacks, individual meals (ie. mac-n-cheese cups), peanut butter and occasionally fruit.
