Eggert Extra 9/4/26
Summer Update

Notes from the Office
Welcome Back, Eggert Elementary Families!
Dear Eggert Families,
We are excited to welcome our students back for the first day of school on Wednesday, September 9th! A new school year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, make friends, and create wonderful memories, and we cannot wait to get started!
Please not the following important information to help get your year off to a great start:
Student Hours: 9:10 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.
Arrival & Dismissal
As we begin the new school year, we ask that families please review the arrival and dismissal procedures listed below. Please note, that the dismissal procedures and locations have changed from last school year. Following these procedures helps us ensure that all students arrive and leave school safely, efficiently and smoothly.
During arrival and dismissal, staff will be outside and throughout the building to help students and families navigate the new routines. We appreciate your patience as everyone becomes familiar with the procedures and encourage families to allow a little extra time as we establish these routines. While there may be some traffic and delays as we get started, these procedures will become more familiar and efficient as they year progresses.
Most importantly, we are ready and excited to see our students and get the 2026 - 2027 school year started! We hope you and your family enjoy the long Labor Day weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday, September 9th, and to an amazing year ahead!
In partnership,
Dr. Szczesniak and Mrs. Kubera

Please make sure you child is ready with their belongings and unbuckled when the Eggert Staff Member comes to your car.

Follow the directions of our staff members directing traffic.
Remain in your car and follow the loop around the parking lot. Continue to pull forward as directed—staff will walk students to cars.
For safety, do not pull out of your lane to pass other vehicles.
Notes & Parent Portal
If your child will be picked up, please make sure this is entered in the parent portal or send a written note with your child.
Pick-up notes from last year do not carry over into this school year.
No Elementary Parking Lot Access for Pick-Up Before 2:55pm
For the safety of all students and staff, our school parking lots will remain closed to vehicles arriving for dismissal pick-up until 2:55 p.m.
Keeping the lots clear during the school day allows emergency vehicles to access our buildings quickly if needed and helps us to maintain a safe, and orderly environment for everyone.
We appreciate your cooperation and support in keeping our school campuses safe and accessible.

If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Banks at 716-209-6216 or via email at rbanks@opschools.org. Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and smooth start to the year!
