ELA MCAP Reminders (Grade 3-5)

Grade 3: 4/8, 4/9, 4/11, 4/12

Grade 4: 4/19, 4/24, 4/25, 4/29

Grade 5: 4/15, 4/17, 4/18, 4/19

Grades 3-5 will be taking the ELA MCAP test throughout the month of April. Students have been learning test-taking strategies in their ELA classes to promote success and reduce testing anxiety. Students can use the P.R.E.S.T.O. strategy to support their thought processes through answering multiple choice questions. The R.A.C.E. strategy can be used to structure written responses to text. If you would like additional resources to support your student with practicing such strategies at home, please email our Reading Resource Teacher, Mrs. Chavis at nchavis@bcps.org.
