Primary Parents-We Want to Hear From You!
Primary Parent Advisory Committee
Our PPAC (Primary Parent Advisory Committee) has been meeting monthly to discuss different topics and a priority topic that surfaced was communication. This dedicated group of parents has worked on survey questions centered around the topic of communication to find out how our families feel about the different forms of communication, the frequency and the value of these communications.
We're asking for parents and caregivers to take a couple minutes out of their day to fill out the survey below by grade level/program. The survey window will be open starting today and run until Friday, December 21st. Survey submissions are anonymous, and we are looking for your honest feedback. Once we have reviewed the results, information will be shared with both staff and families in January. Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts on this topic!

We are always looking for more parents to join our committee-it's not too late! Just reach out and let me know you're interested and I will put you on our committee roster! We meet monthly in the early evening. Your voice and ideas are welcome!
End 2023 with School Spirit Days!
Let's end 2023 with some fun style! These spirit days are set for the last week leading up to our winter break. They are all optional, but we did try to pick days that you would be able to do with the items you have at home. Modify them as you like, the idea is to have some fun together as we close out the calendar year.
Winter Party Information
On December 15th, our Primary School students will have their winter parties. These celebrations are a fun way to end the calendar year and the students enjoy playing games and making special projects to go with our winter theme.
The times are below. If you are a volunteer for the winter party, the head room parent will be reaching out to you to put you on the volunteer schedule. Volunteers-please plan for a lot of cars in the parking lot, so give yourself extra time.

Winter Break Activities to Nurture Social Skills and Encourage Friendships
Kindergarten marks an important time when children are learning to be good friends. Parents and caregivers need to provide opportunities for them to practice these important social skills; therefore, limiting screen time and encouraging connection and play is the goal. During Winter Break, invite a friend to your house to play, meet friends in the community, and make time for family activities. Spending time with family and friends builds social skills and positive connections that help children bounce back from obstacles that may occur in their lives.
