Good afternoon Families,
Good afternoon families! A big thank you to all the families that were able to participate in the Channel 5 Weather at Your School visit this (very early) morning! It was so fun to see the students read the weather and interact with the WPTZ weather lab/team! If you were not able to watch or record any of it,
Marissa Vigevani said she would email me links for all the segments on Monday and as soon as I receive that, I will send it out to you all. The students were all so excited - what a great way to start the day! Thank you to those who were able to get their children up early for the broadcasts!:-)
We have been working with the Cambridge Rotary who graciously provided us with a grant opportunity to purchase A LOT of books for our school! Our librarian, Suzi LaRonde, has been working with teachers and students this year to determine what books they would like for their classroom collections. Suzi worked with the Rotary and ordered all the books that were on student interest lists. The books have come in and yesterday the Rotarians joined us in our library for a celebration! Students came to the library to see the books, have a look through some of them and now they will become part of each classrooms’ library collection. The Rotarians brought snacks and drinks and it was a lovely celebration of books and reading. A HUGE thank you to the Cambridge Rotary and Suzi LaRonde for making this happen for WES!!!
The rest of this school year is going to go by fast! Here is a list of events to keep in your calendars. A very happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms of our community! I hope you have a lovely weekend!!
