AGHS Rain Rally
On Tuesday, May 27th, our Unified Inclusive Youth Leadership Club (Best Buddies) will be hosting one of their Whole School Engagement activities, the Rain Rally! A Rain Rally is an opportunity for all students grades 9-12 to contribute $5 to our Unified Sports program (bocce and track/field) in exchange for access to run through the arc created by fire hoses from our local fire department! Tickets will be sold at all lunches for the next two weeks, so please have your student bring $5 cash to participate!
See a video of a rain rally held at Pennridge linked here.
Upcoming DUI Presentations: May 22nd
Avon Grove High School is committed to keeping our students safe, especially in the midst of prom and graduation season - a time when making responsible choices is more important than ever. On May 22nd, all AGHS students will participate in a powerful DUI prevention assembly focused on the dangers of impaired driving and the importance of making safe decisions.
The event will feature the story of Pennsylvania State Trooper Kenton Iwaniec, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver, and is presented in partnership with the Trooper Kenton Iwaniec Memorial Foundation. This assembly is designed to raise awareness, empower students to speak up in risky situations, and encourage lifelong habits of responsibility and peer support. We want parents and guardians to know that this initiative is part of a broader effort to support smart decision-making and wellness in our student community, and we encourage you to continue the conversation at home.
