If you can, feel free to bring a side dish or juice boxes. We will be providing two slices of Domino's pizza per person to ensure that there is enough for everyone. Water will also be available. Message from Mrs. Safer in Music Message from Mrs. Safer in Music

We are wrapping up our musical learning this year by reviewing some of our favorite songs and activities in music!

Kindergarten and First Grade students are singing songs and playing games that have helped them develop pitch, steady beat and movement skills this year. They like to go fishing with Charlie Over the Ocean, wake the sleeping Grizzly Bear and pass the ball with Acka Backa.

Second graders have been working on solfege, singing independently, and reviewing rhythm patterns. They have accepted the challenge to sing a round, which is not an easy task! They have also learned a folk dance from Russia called Sasha, which has been a favorite for many students this year!

Third graders have done a wonderful job finishing the recorder! They have also been exploring the instrument families in the orchestra. They are very curious and engaged and have enjoyed discovering more about the different types of instruments and the sounds they create. I hope they are also developing an interest in perhaps playing one of the instruments they are learning about!

Once you register, stop by the youth circulation desk to pick up your summer reading materials, including a reading log. Starting June 25th, you can report books read by bringing a reading log to the library during any hours we are open to the public. All registered participants are eligible to win raffle prizes, which include a $50 Amazon gift card and prizes from local businesses. We will contact winners after the Summer Reading Celebration on August 13th.

Registered children and teens will receive a raffle ticket or a small prize from the treasure box every time they show us an updated reading log - no matter if they’ve read one new book since their last visit, or 100. Read-alouds, audio books, graphic novels, magazines all count towards summer reading! Pick up a summer brochure for a full list of our summer events.

Thank you so much for getting the word out to school families!
