Hubbard WoodsFamily NewsletterFebruary 3, 2025

Dear Hubbard Woods families,

We are committed to ensuring that every student receives the support they need to grow and thrive academically and social emotionally. This week, our teachers, interventionists, and instructional coaches are coming together for our mid-year data team meetings. These meetings help us review student progress and work to make sure that all students are progressing.

For the use of our interventionist, our focus remains on our youngest learners (K-2) and students who need more intensive support (Tier 3). Teachers and interventionists are carefully reviewing student data to determine who qualifies for additional support. If a student is identified for intervention, they will receive extra help either from a dedicated interventionist or directly from their classroom teacher during our WIN (What I Need) block. Additionally, we will be utilizing the WIN time period to make sure that learners who do not fit the criteria for intervention are challenged and engaged during the WIN block.

In the coming two weeks, our team will finalize plans and begin working with students that is based upon this most recent data. We are excited about the collaboration among our staff and believe that by working together, we can ensure that every student receives what they need.

Warm regards,

Ivory Ajavon

Principal

Month of Service Learning (MOSAL)

As we proudly conclude our Month of Service and Learning (MOSAL) this week, our students will take part in packing up the generous donations collected for Grace Network, which will distribute these items to students in need.

To celebrate the generosity, hard work, and learning that went into this initiative, we’re hosting a "Sock Hop" on Friday morning! This event also coincides with our monthly Spirit Wear Day, so let’s show our Hubbard Woods pride by wearing our spirit gear as we come together as a community. Grace Network will be on hand to pick up the donations, making this a meaningful moment for our students.

Thank you for your continued support in making this experience impactful for our school community!

District's Pet Policy

Just a friendly reminder about our district’s pet policy: Dogs are not allowed on school property during school hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) or during school events. The only exception is for registered support animals. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school environment safe and welcoming for all!
