The Connection
JULY 2026
It is my sincere hope that many of you will remember that in February we did a sermon series titled “The Challenge.” This series was about outreach. During that series you were encouraged to think about at least one person that you knew who did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to make a commitment to try to help them come to faith in Him.
You were given a Challenge Card with something that you could do to reach out to that person, and perhaps invite them to come to church with you. I hope that you have been praying for the person, or persons, you chose at that time, and perhaps have even had some meaningful, spiritual conversations with them.
We often have special events here at the church that are great opportunities to invite people to come check us out. The Trunk-or-Treat event that we have coming up on October 24 is a great opportunity to invite someone to come and experience our church. Although it won’t be a worship service, it will still be a great time to meet the preacher, and mingle with many of the other people who attend CCC. They will certainly get to see that we have a good time when we gather together.
Trunk-or-Treat is one of our best outreach events that we do each year. I hope that all of you are planning to be involved in making the event a success this year. There are several ways you can help. You can bring candy donations and/or you can sign-up to decorate your car trunk and be here on the 24th to help hand out candy. Another way you can help is by prayer. Please pray for the success of this event. Pray that we will have many trunks decorated, that we will have ample candy to give away, and pray that people, especially those who don’t have a home church, will come be a part of the festivities.
I am praying that our church will really get excited about this event and reach people who need a home church to attend. Please grab some of the flyers when they become available and pass the word on to people you know who might attend the event. God bless you and I hope to see you at Trunk-or-Treat on October 24th. It’s just one more way we try to help people find the hope of Jesus and as we know, Hope Changes Everything!
Love, Grace and Peace,
Pastor Mark

Mango Tree Ministry
We are seeing God's work in a multitude of ways right now. We are seeing many come to learn about the God of the Bible who loves them more than the god of Islam that let's them suffer. We help farmers in the Niger River area with seed, fertilizer and pumps in order to raise needed food for their families and villages. They are seeing much growth and are expecting a good harvest. We were able to get 100 mosquito nets and malaria treatments into an area that been devastated by Jihadist activities. We are working with pastors and their churches to help use education and skill development as a part of their evangelism and discipleship We need to purchase resources to help pastors with audio and video recordings that can be distributed to any church or gathering place for the believers. Thank you all for your continued love, prayers, encouragement and support.
