Oct 26 - 30, 2026

RDS This Week:

Monday - 1st period

Tuesday - 2nd period

Wednesday - none

Thursday - 3rd period

Friday - 4th period

We have school Monday through Friday this week, 7:40 - 2:50 daily.

Students should be in their seats in the classroom by 7:40, so plan to have them to school by 7:30 am.

Some students and families are a little confused about the tardy policy. Arriving at the school door at 7:40 is still going to result in the student being marked tardy.

Students should be in their classrooms by 7:40.

It takes some time to walk from the school entrance to classrooms, and the car rider line gets long starting at 7:25, so please plan accordingly.

Even though we have testing occurring on October 28, we will have school for ALL students this day, not just those who are testing. Students not in attendance will receive an absence for homeroom and 4th period, but this will not count toward teacher-made exam exemptions at the end of the semester. CVCC classes and internships for students in 12th grade will still proceed as normal.

More information was shared in Homeroom on the 23rd. Students should check in with their homeroom teachers to get their report cards and testing day information.

We will celebrate Halloween on October 30 by allowing students to wear costumes/dress up. HOWEVER, no masks, weapons, or inflatable costumes will be allowed. Students who do not abide by the rules will have to call home to have a change of clothing brought to school.

Mark your calendars for the following testing dates. Please do not schedule any medical appointments on the following dates:

October 28 (Wed) -- Pre-ACT, CCRA, CCRAA -- all students attend school

November 5 & 6 -- WorkKeys (for select seniors who have taken 2 consecutive CTE courses). Qualified students will be notified. These days are regular school days - all students attend school.

We are happy to share with you that 3 students have been given positive office referrals this week! All of them provided an enormous amount of assistance to substitute bus drivers in our district over the past couple of weeks! Thank you for these acts of kindness!

Hello! NCHS Families connected to our school in Classdojo will be entered into a drawing for a $25 giftcard on Friday. No action needed except being connected on Classdojo. Invitations were emailed to all families several weeks ago. Some were resent today (Sunday). We currently have 271 parents connected and we want to increase that percentage. Check your spam folder where you might possibly locate your invitation if you don't see it in your regular email account. Good luck!
