A Message from the Principal
Parent Conference Day is upon us (October 13). Some teachers do conferences before that day, so some of you may have already met with your teacher. We think it is important to meet with every parent about their child's progress as research shows the home-school connection is invaluable for student success. You should have already gotten an email about setting up a conference. If you haven't, make sure you check your spam folder so you don't miss it! Still can't find it? Email your child's teacher to set up a conference!
HOCO (Homecoming) week is right around the corner. The Homecoming Parade is Thursday, October 15, at 5pm. We hope you will come to the parade and show your Celina and Martin SPIRIT! Keep an eye out for our HOCO float. If you plan on checking your child out early that day, please do so by 2:00 and avoid doing so during your child's lunch or specials day.
There will be NO LUNCH VISITORS October 16 and October 30 due to our busy school schedule those days.

Volunteer Requirements
If you are planning on volunteering at all this year, there are some additional requirements beyond the background check. Please complete this form if you plan on being a Friday lunch volunteer, a field trip chaperone, a classroom volunteer, a WatchDOG, etc. This list will be turned into Student Services who will send you the additional requirements.
Grandparent's Lunch
Grandparent's Lunch is coming! As you know, this is a very popular event, so we are spreading it over 4 days. A sign up is REQUIRED for each lunch they plan to attend. A child may have a visitor ONE day only, so we have enough space for all students to have a visitor. Please read the directions on the sign up carefully! Sign ups close at 8am on October 23.
GT Referral Window: October 5–16, 2026
Celina ISD’s Gifted & Talented referral window will be open October 5–16, 2026. Parents, teachers, and staff may refer a student for GT testing during this window.
This is the only GT referral window for the 2026–2027 school year. No additional referrals will be accepted after the window closes.
Please note: All 2nd grade students will participate in the district’s GT universal screener and do not need to be referred.

School Cafe
Please complete your free and reduced applications in School Cafe. A new form must be filled out yearly!
https://www.schoolcafe.com/CELINAISD
If your student is new and does not have a school cafe account, please have them bring lunch or lunch money with them to school or set up an account prior to the first day of school.
You can monitor your students' accounts and place restrictions on their meal accounts in the school cafe. (We highly recommend adding restrictions to their accounts to limit snack items!)
Breakfast is served from 7:25-7:40!
Birthday Picture with Roo
Did you know your child can get a Birthday Picture with Roo?
For a $10 donation, your child will have their bday picture taken with Roo. The image will be emailed to the parent.
Pay on Huddle and then contact the campus Secretary, MeaganDavis@CelinaISD.com a week prior to your child's birthday to schedule.
(This funds raised will allow us to provide things such as a staff shirts, a small bday treat for staff and, an occasional Sonic drink.)
