Parents,

We had a great week at Belton Elementary! Next week we have our iReady Diagnostic on March 24 & 26. We use this data to make one more instructional push to get students ready for state testing, and for the next grade level. Here are a few ways that you can help make sure your child is ready...

  1. Good night sleep (8+ hours)
  2. Healthy Breakfast
  3. Arrive to school early so they are not rushed
  4. Encouraging them to take their time and do their best

Just a reminder, that we would love for you to come in and eat lunch with your child as your schedule allows. You can message the teacher to get the exact lunch time.

It is hard to believe the year is coming to an end! Here are some important dates for you to put on your calendar!

Report Cards Report Cards

Your involvement in your child's learning is very important to us! A paper copy of report cards went home with students on Wednesday. If you would like to schedule a parent-teacher conference, you can reach out to them via email or through Class Dojo. I would highly recommend that you make sure your Parent Portal account is working, so that you can monitor your child's grades throughout the 4th quarter. If you need assistance with this, you can contact the school office.

Reminders Reminders

Transportation Change

You must call the office if you need to change the transportation for how your child normally gets home. Messaging the teacher on Class Dojo will not work because teachers will most likely not see your message until students are already gone.

Breakfast

If your child is a car rider and would like to eat breakfast at school, please be sure to get them to school as early as possible to give them plenty of time to eat. The hot breakfast line ends at 7:35am. I would suggest getting your child to school before 7:30am to ensure they are getting a hot breakfast, and are not rushed.

Tardy Bell

The tardy bell will ring at 7:45am. Students must be in their classroom by 7:45am in order to not be tardy. Parents must park and walk their child in if they are tardy.

Early Dismissal

Students will not be allowed to be dismissed from class after 2:00pm without administrator approval. Please plan doctor appointments accordingly.

Free Lunch

Breakfast and Lunch are free for all of our students this year!
