A heartfelt thank you to our entire Byam community of families, staff, and students for all their contributions toward our Byam food drive to benefit the Chelmsford food pantry. The food drive was an amazing success with multiple trips to drop off food supplies and is sure to help so many in our community. Thank you also to Byam parent Hillary Case for transporting all of our donations to the Chelmsford Food pantry.

Reminder for Third Grade Students:

Massachusetts state law and Chelmsford Public School District policy requires all 3rd grade students have a current physical on file. A current physical is one dated 8/26/24 or later. If you currently have a third grade student, please send a copy of your student's most recent physical to me by the end of the year either by e-mail, fax or hard copy dropped off/mailed/sent to school with your student.

It’s that time of year again! As we get ready for the holiday season, we’re excited to help bring some extra joy to our Byam community. In addition to our Byam Cares program, our School Counselor, Mrs. Tuccelli, would like to offer support through an Amazon wish list featuring toys, games, books, and other fun gifts for our students.

All of the purchases will be mailed to Byam and then distributed to our families. If you are interested in buying a gift, please take a look at the link below. Parents/Guardians are invited to volunteer during their child's art class to experience the creativity first hand, and also to help out with supplies and materials. Please take a moment to check the available dates for your child's class and fill out the volunteer form below. If your dates are flexible, or you would like to volunteer on a regular basis, please indicate that on the form as well. If I receive a high number of volunteer signups, I will do my best to ensure that everyone gets a chance to participate.

With the cold weather upon us, we would like to request our families to please mark somewhere inside coats and sweatshirts the last name of your student. This makes it efficient to find the owners of left behind items, and decrease the amount of coats brought to our lost and found. Thank you!

Did you know?

Byam school library has a small section of books in different languages! We have books in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Chinese. I would love to add more! Some books are easy to obtain in multiple languages, but some languages are harder to find. If your family is traveling to a non-English speaking area, and you are able to purchase a (preferably hard-cover) children’s book for our library, many students would enjoy it! (Unfortunately, I am not fluent in many languages, so I will depend on translating apps to review the books. Please choose books that are appropriate for all students at Byam.)

BYAM’S GOT TALENT SIGN UPS ARE NOW OPEN

Calling all Byam Legends!

The BSA presents the annual Byam's Got Talent Show on Saturday, March 28th, 2026!

All students are welcome to perform at the talent show - no stage experience needed! 4th Grade students can also sign-up as an Emcee (host) for the show.

Sign-ups for students to participate in the show will be open from Friday, November 7th to January 23rd, 2026.

If your child is interested in participating in the show, please complete the registration Google form Byam's Got Talent Sign-Up Form

BSA COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER

The BSA has partnered with Rebecca's Nut-Free Premium Cookie Dough, a local small business out of Ipswich, for a new and exciting fundraiser! Throughout the month of November, students will have the opportunity to open their own "Cookie Store" online to sell cookies to family and friends.

All products from Rebecca's Nut-Free Premium Cookie Dough are completely nut-free. There are many gluten-free and top 9-allergen-free options available as well. You'll even find fun decorating kits for the upcoming holidays, which are perfect for families to enjoy together.

Attached is a flyer to scan if you'd like to start fundraising right away on November 1st. Next week, students will also be receiving an order form with pictures of products and details on how to create their "Cookie Store". All orders must be done online, but the flyer is a great way to show friends and families the delicious cookies and what Rebecca's Nut-Free has to offer.

Orders can be sent home with students or picked up from 3 Rack Rd upon arrival. If you choose pickup, please watch for an email from the school indicating pickup times.
