Dear La Escuela Fratney Families,
Welcome to this week’s Monday Message!
We’re grateful to share that our third Friday Park Day was a wonderful success! Thank you to all the students who showed their Fratney pride by wearing school shirts. If your child still needs or would like a Fratney shirt, you’ll have another opportunity to order during Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 14th and 15th.
Our school-wide attendance is currently just above 90%—thank you for helping us get there! Let’s continue to work together to ensure students are present and on time every day. Starting this week, Ms. Grace, our Parent Coordinator, will be reaching out to families of students with absences to offer support—because every day truly counts.
A reminder that School Picture Day is Tuesday, September 23rd for all students in K3 through 6th grade. Photos will be included in our yearbook. Paper order forms go home Monday, or you can order online at https://orders.schoolandsportpics.com/ordering/access Please note: the office cannot make change, so exact cash, a check, or online payment is required.
Lastly, thank you for your cooperation with the MPS Visitor Policy. All parent meetings must be scheduled in advance. For safety and availability, we are unable to hold meetings during drop-off or pick-up times. Ms. Sara and Ms. Christine are available for scheduled meetings most days at 3:00 PM. As always, we encourage families to contact teachers directly by phone, email, or Remind with any questions or concerns.

¡Nos alegra compartir que nuestro tercer Viernes en el Parque fue un gran éxito! Gracias a todos los estudiantes que mostraron su orgullo Fratney usando sus camisetas escolares. Si su hijo/a aún necesita o desea una camiseta de Fratney, habrá otra oportunidad para hacer pedidos durante las conferencias de padres y maestros el 14 y 15 de octubre.
Actualmente, nuestra asistencia escolar general está justo por encima del 90%—¡gracias por su apoyo! Sigamos trabajando juntos para asegurar que los estudiantes estén presentes y lleguen a tiempo todos los días. A partir de esta semana, nuestra Coordinadora de Padres, la Sra. Grace, se comunicará con las familias de los estudiantes que han estado ausentes para ofrecer apoyo—porque cada día cuenta.

Finalmente, gracias por su cooperación con la política de visitantes de MPS. Todas las reuniones con padres deben programarse con anticipación. Conferences will be held in the evenings of Tuesday, October 14th and Wednesday, October 15th.

There will be one calendar for the whole district again this year. Please review this calendar before making plans for trips or vacations. Students must be in school 95% of the time or more which means they can only miss 1 day a month the whole school year. Students who miss more than 10 days of school a year fall behind academically and socially. Make a plan now to be in school every day on time.
