Hello Wizard Families-

It was wonderful to see so many of you at the 3rd and 4th grade music performance this afternoon. The students did an incredible job, and we are so proud of their hard work. And Mrs. Stiegelmeyer is amazing; we are so lucky to have her at Wickham! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š The performance schedule for other grade levels can be found below.

Next week, we can show all our teachers how much we value them during Teacher Appreciation Week! Whether itโ€™s a note, a kind word, or a simple thank you, every gesture makes a difference. The PTO will also be providing a food truck lunch for staff on Friday, 5/8. Your generous donations allowed for this to happen. Thank you for celebrating the people who make our school such a caring and inspiring place.

As a reminder, our school counselor, Mrs. Titze, has begun lessons for students in grades Kโ€“5 focused on personal safety and risk reduction. In addition, students in 4th and 5th grade receive instruction on human growth and development as part of their health education curriculum. These lessons are developmentally appropriate for each grade level and address topics outlined on our district website. Please reach out to me or Ms. Titze if you have any questions.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Hi allโ€”

There are a lot of ticks out there right now, so I just wanted to send a quick reminder of our tick protocol:

Ideally, students should be sent to the health office for tick removal so the bite site can be cleaned well right away. However, it may happen that I am not available when & where you find a tick on a student, so here's a refresher on standard technique.

After removal, please save the tick and send it home with the student. Label it with:

  • Date
  • Time
  • Location on the body where it was found

This allows parents/healthcare providers to identify it if they choose.

Thank you for your help with this! Please reach out with any questions.
