In order to be inclusive of all families, we will stick to wearing black, orange, and fall colors at school on Thursday if you'd like (no costumes, please). Some classrooms are celebrating the season with fall fests. It was so fun to see costumes at the Trunk-or-Treat and, this way, costumes can be ready for Halloween fun if you celebrate in the evening.

Hopefully, you all had a moment to read Superintendent Shannon's newsletter on Friday. In it, she discusses our school's obligation to educate students on elections. We believe it is appropriate to do so in ways that are developmentally appropriate and student-centered. So, at Osgood, we will be holding a mock election so that students can see how their voice counts in a democracy. On election day, Tuesday, November 5th, students at Osgood will vote for the spirit day they will have on Thursday, November 7th. There will be precincts, campaigning, and polling stations. Students will cast their vote for the spirit day they would like to have. Their choices will be pajama day, crazy hair day, or hero day. All students will be welcome to participate in the winning spirit day on Thursday, November 7th.

Students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue on election day, November 5th.

For the safety of all students, please use this list to choose snacks that are allowed at the Osgood School. We do have a nut free table in the cafeteria, so this guidance is just for snacks, which are most often eaten in classrooms. The list was generated to avoid having our school nurses check all students' snacks each day to be sure they are safe.

Please pack your child's snack separate from their lunch.
