Thanks for your help!
Congratulations
Congratulations to Mr. Anthony Luscavage our TOMS Staff Member of the Week! He was nominated by Mr. Stephen Carrasco.
Mr. Luscavage is a Special Education teacher at TOMS and this is his first year with us!
My favorite memory of middle school was that I enjoyed being with my friends. I also remember the excitement and nervousness (mostly excitement) about the big move to high school and what that was going to bring.
My advice to my Middle School self would be... Everything that you are worried about and going through is short lived. Relax and enjoy it. It goes by way too fast.
Congratulations to TOMS Band director Mr. Jose Pope and our amazing 7th grade band students on earning a SUPERIOR rating at the Charleston Music Festival this past Friday!
These talented young musicians traveled to Charleston to perform, be adjudicated by expert judges, and participate in a professional clinic to sharpen their skills. They also had the incredible opportunity to visit the historic USS Yorktown at Patriots Point — a truly memorable experience all around!
We’re so proud of their hard work, dedication, and passion for music. Way to represent!
Congratulations to Mr. Pope!
We are excited to announce that Mr. Pope has been selected to present at the Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago, IL this December 2025!
The conference is a prestigious event, attended by over 18,000 music educators and performers from all 50 states and more than 40 countries annually.
Mr. Pope will be presenting a clinic on middle school brass pedagogy — a fantastic opportunity to share his expertise with educators and musicians from around the world.
We're incredibly proud of this achievement and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make!
Egg-cellent Engineering in Action!
Mrs. Disser and Mrs. Gagner’s students teamed up this morning for our annual 7th Grade Egg Drop Lab! Students put their creativity and critical thinking skills to the test by designing and building containers to protect their eggs from a high drop. It was messy, exciting, and full of laughs — the perfect hands-on learning experience right before spring break!
Great job, 7th graders!

A friendly reminder that Tuesday, May 13th TOMS NHD is hosting a fundraiser night in partnership with Chipotle (location near CCU on 501).
All you have to do is eat there or order out and show the flier or use the code (provided on the flyer) if you are ordering on the app.
This doesn't cost you anything extra. Order what you and the family want. Chipotle will donate 25% of the proceeds to us.
We appreciate your support!
Mr. Clifford Jones, the new Superintendent of Horry County Schools, has scheduled “Coffee with Cliff” events for the remainder of the school year. As a newcomer to Horry County Schools, Mr. Jones wants to use these events to listen to the community's ideas and concerns and to share news about the district with community members. These events are just one of many ways Mr. Jones hopes to connect with the community and listen, share, and learn to make Horry County Schools an even better district. #HCSBestDaysAhead
“Coffee with Cliff” consists of informal listening sessions and discussions. Everyone is invited, and no registration or appointment is needed. Just show up, enjoy a cup of coffee, and chat
