LETTER FROM PRINCIPAL LOCKWOOD! LETTER FROM PRINCIPAL LOCKWOOD!

July, 2025

Dear Greenfield Elementary Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year at Greenfield Elementary! As we open our

doors once again, we are filled with excitement, energy, and a renewed sense of

purpose. This year, we proudly embrace our new motto: “A Leap Forward.” It reflects

our commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence for every student, every day.

With this now being my second year as Principal, I have a fresh outlook and

increased desire to maintain what Greenfield is all about. I am confident that we will

continue to push forward and work hard towards our goals. I have learned a ton

already about Greenfield and our community and am so grateful to have yet another

opportunity to be the “Head Gator!” I will do my very best each day to make you all

proud!

At Greenfield, our core values remain as strong as ever: Work Hard. Be Kind. These

simple yet powerful words continue to guide everything we do—from how we

approach learning in the classroom to how we treat one another in our school

community. Together, we strive to nurture not just great students, but great people.

We are excited to embark on this journey together as we dig deeper into the work

hard and be kind mentality and truly show each day what that means here at

Greenfield!

We’re especially thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in our academic

programming: the introduction of a Gifted Learning Platform. This year, each grade

level will include a gifted cluster—an identified Gifted group of students receiving

enriched learning opportunities. These clusters will benefit from daily and weekly

support from teachers who are either gifted-endorsed or actively pursuing

endorsement. This model allows us to more deeply support the unique strengths,

talents, and curiosity of our gifted learners, while maintaining a culture of inclusivity

and collaboration. In order to be placed in one of the gifted clusters, you must be

identified as Gifted. The 3 year plan will be to have most, if not all of our teachers

appropriately gifted endorsed and all classes receiving enriched learning

opportunities on a daily basis.

As we take this leap forward, we are collaboratively together in our goal: to empower

every student to reach their full potential. With your continued support and

partnership, we are confident that this will be a year of remarkable growth, discovery,

and success.

We can’t wait to welcome your children back into our classrooms, and we look

forward to starting the school year strong—together.

-Here’s to a leap forward! Work hard and Be Kind!

Warmly,

Mr. Brian Lockwood
