Weekly Message From the Faith Formation Team
Hi Parents,
If you have not heard, internationally renowned speaker and author Chris Stefanick is coming to St. Michael's on February 26 at 7 pm to share his REBOOT program with us. To learn more about him, the program, and to purchase tickets visit his website: REBOOT. This event is designed for ages 12 and up. We are excited to host him here and to be inspired by God's love for us as we prepare to enter into the Lenten season on March 5 (Ash Wednesday).
We have 74 children preparing to receive their First Reconciliation this Saturday. Please keep them in your prayers as they are working hard to get ready for this very special day.
We will have traditional faith formation classes this Sunday - BUT NO CHALLENGE/CONQUEST classes as this is a Team Leader Planning Sunday. Please contact our team if you have any questions about whether your child's class will be meeting on Sunday - faithformation@stmcary.org.
As always, we thank our wonderful volunteers for coming in each Sunday, but we still need parents and/or grandparents to help with our Challenge and Conquest program. If you can help please visit our SIGNUP to let us know.
Many blessings,
The Faith Formation Team

OCIA-Youth Class - Sacramental Year 2025
SACRAMENTAL WORKSHOP - FEB 22, 2025 @ 10 AM
Youth in OCIA preparing for baptism at the Easter Vigil this spring and candidates preparing to be received into the Catholic Church on May 4th should plan to be at this workshop. We will review the Sacraments of Initiation and prepare families for their reception into the Catholic Church. If you have any questions about this workshop, please contact Joyce Blum: jblum@stmcary.org.
Parents, please complete the OCIA Sacrament Data Form (below) and bring it to the workshop. Additionally, your chosen sponsor should be in the process of completing the sponsor form (see below).
Challenge & Conquest will not meet this Sunday, February 2nd. See you next week!
We continue to need volunteers to be extra hands. If groups want to participate in an outside activity, move to the gym, or play on the fields, we need a second adult present. Some groups have two adults volunteering consistently, but many do not. By volunteering with a group, you give them the ability to participate in all activities. The button below takes you to our Volunteer Sign-Up. Thank you in advance for your support!
Confirmation meetings on Sunday, February 2nd will be in the Conference Center Gallery.
This Sunday, February 2nd teens will be chatting about the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
If you would like to learn more about the Sacrament of Reconciliation to reflect with your teen, listen to the following episodes of Catechism in a Year from Fr. Mike Schmitz

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
