Maker Space

Maker Space was a wonderful idea imagined by our specialist Kristen Kent and brought to life through the collaboration with Room 403 – Mrs. Mungillo and Ms. Viviana. What makes this space truly meaningful is the children’s incredible enthusiasm and participation. They proudly created the colorful Maker Space sign, carefully decorated the fish, and joyfully helped build the igloo using egg cartons. Their creativity, teamwork, and excitement can be seen in every detail. Surrounded by hands-on manipulatives, creative toys, and open-ended materials, the children are not only playing — they are exploring, imagining, problem-solving, and learning through meaningful experiences. This space reflects what happens when great ideas, collaboration, and children’s creativity come together. We are so proud of what was created — a place filled with imagination, learning, and happiness.

Post-Graduate Classroom Highlight: Spaghetti & Meatballs!

Today in our post-graduate classroom, students made spaghetti and meatballs as a class—and it was such a fun, hands-on experience! Even though a few classroom outlets weren’t working properly, our students still got to cook and learn thanks to a huge shoutout to Malik Howshan, who kindly let us use his office space to finish the lesson.

Cooking activities like this help students build real-life skills they’ll use beyond the classroom, including teamwork, following directions, kitchen safety, and independence. We’re so proud of their effort and can’t wait to do more experiences like this!

Once again, thank you Malik, Osebhajajeme and Maria for always supporting our students!
