HELP MAKE BOGGESS PTA STRONGER: VOLUNTEER FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
Bring Your Passion To PTA
Hey, Bengal parents and grandparents, what’s your passion? Do you love books, biking, outdoor fun, crafts, or organizing? How about science, chess or just being involved? The Boggess PTA needs YOU! There are several open positions with our PTA, from chairing an event to assisting teachers. Sound like fun? Find open PTA board and member positions and volunteer for positions that catch your eye. You’ll love it and our kids will, too!
Here are a few open roles that might interest you:
Specials Coordinator: Do you love art? Music? PE? Be the specials teachers' contact with PTA, and help facilitate communication and encourage volunteers when needed! Volunteers help with tasks like organizing, cutting, laminating, and anything that will allow the teachers' time to be spent with our kids.
After School Program Coordinator: Discover and book weekly after school programs for all students to enrich their education and hands-on experience with curriculum not usually offered in regular classes. This year we've had science, chess, dance, book club, and more offered Wednesdays after school. You are not required to attend these programs. Your role will be to assist by facilitating and communicating with vendors.
Fun Run Committee Chair: Generate revenue to directly benefit our kids via Boggess PTA! Our Fun Run fundraiser happens in the spring. Be the one to coordinate with vendors and organize activities and volunteers. This one's a school favorite. It's always exciting and successful!
Click here to read more about these positions and to nominate yourself or someone perfect for the job. Thanks for your support!
DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR OUR BOGGESS PTA SCHOLARSHIP
Each year, Boggess PTA awards a scholarship to a graduating senior who attended Boggess for at least two years of elementary school. The winner must be planning to attend an accredited college, university, or technical school.
DEADLINE: April 10

Mindee Gilbert: Mindee is a dedicated parent and volunteer who has always been a great supporter of Boggess. She has been on the PTA board for many years, and her continued support has kept our PTA team strong. She is always asking how we can make this better for the kids. Mindee wants each and everyone of them to have the best, most positive experience. She gives 1000% to make sure that every person feels heard and included.

Boggess Book Club
Book Club students enjoyed a visit from very special guests Dexter The Doodle and his human, Caroline.
We loved meeting Dexter, who is a special pet like Winn-Dixie.
The kids also enjoyed drawing their current or ideal pet
Students also got to enjoy some Littmus Lozenges candies from the book.
Our next Book Club meeting is Thursday, April 13, and we will be discussing "Wonder."
