Dear families,

Happy Friday! As the temperatures start to cool off and the leaves begin to turn, I hope you take a moment to pause and enjoy the beautiful change in seasons this weekend. Tuesday is the first day of Fall and it is a wonderful time to get outside, soak in the somewhat cooler weather, and make some great memories together.

Whether you are heading to the mountains to "leaf peep," going for a walk or hike, watching a flag football or soccer game, or simply enjoying a cozy morning at home, I wish you all a safe, restful, and fun-filled weekend with your loved ones. We look forward to seeing our students refreshed and ready to learn on Monday!

The kids work so hard for our Panda Prowl! Our wonderful PTA needs your help distributing the prizes that they have earned. If you are available, please sign up HERE to help.

We started off the year at Ponderosa with a generous donation of art supplies purchased from the Thompson Education Foundation. TEF knew current budget restraints would impact art programs and our ability to provide a variety of art materials and experiences for students this year. They stepped up in a big way, providing a huge gift of requested art supplies for TSD elementary schools. They even purchased our ceramic clay for this year, meeting one of our costliest needs in the art program.

TEF is an amazing organization that has done much for our district. The mission of TEF is providing “Exceptional educational experiences for students and educators in Thompson School District.” The foundation supports over 70 programs, activities, and scholarships as the support partner for Thompson School District. 2026/2027 School year fees are now posted in infinite campus. They can be paid by card in your parent portal account or by check to the front office.

**Free and reduced lunch applications are now open for the 2026/2027 school year. Although breakfast and lunch are free for all students. We highly encourage all qualifying families to still fill out an application.**
