Subject: Week 8 Wrap-Up and Important Updates for Parents
Dear Barron Families,
As we conclude Week 8 of the school year and closing of the first 9 weeks of school, I want to take a moment to share some important updates regarding our ongoing assessments and support initiatives. Your partnership is vital to our students' success, and we appreciate your involvement. Here’s what’s happening:
9-Week Common Assessments: Teachers are wrapping up the 9-week common assessments for our students from the 3rd thru 5th grade. These evaluations help us understand each student’s progress and tailor our instruction to meet their needs.
MAP Testing: We have completed the MAP testing period. This assessment provides valuable insights into your child's growth and areas where they may need additional support.
i-Ready: Our students are utilizing i-Ready to enhance their learning. Please encourage your child to engage with this resource, as it is designed to support their individual learning paths.
Tier 3 Interventions: We have finalized schedules for Tier 3 interventions for students needing extra assistance. Our goal is to ensure all students receive the support they require to succeed academically.
Tier 2 Support during WIN Time: During WIN (What I Need) time, we are providing Tier 2 interventions for students who need additional help. This is a dedicated time for focused learning and support for all students to include Tier 1 enrichment.
HB1416 Compliance: We are committed to meeting the requirements of HB1416, ensuring we address the needs of all our students effectively and providing interventions.
Afterschool Tutoring and Intersession: Our afterschool tutoring programs and intersession opportunities are available for students who wish to enhance their learning. We encourage participation to maximize their academic growth.
*A reminder that Intersession will start on Wednesday, October 2nd only for those who were invited. Students in 1st and 2nd grade will ONLY attend half day until 11:30 or 11:55 if they stay for lunch. Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will attend all day.
**The QR code to report an absence sticker is available to all families (1 per student). Remember, everyday counts! We will be rewarding students with prizes, selecting a Burger King/Burger Queen for perfect attendance, honor them at school, and at Northeast burger king restaurant, plus 2 meals for adults and 2 meals for children.
As we approach Fall Break, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support and involvement. Taking time for self-care is essential for both students and parents, and I encourage everyone to enjoy this upcoming break.
Thank you for being an integral part of our school community!
Respectfully,
Ms. Vasquez, Principal.
