Tiger Times - Week of August 31, 2026
Welcome Tigers!
Millennium Students and Parents,
We need your help! Our community is large and we have a lot of parents, students, and staff members coming to campus each and every day. We have procedures for morning drop off and afternoon pick up. We need our community to follow those procedures. We need our community to drive responsibly and with caution. We need our community to arrive early and have some patience. Most importantly, we need to keep our community safe. I am including our drop off and pick up procedures below as a refresher. Please, Please, Please follow these procedures. They have been implemented to keep our community safe.
We also need your help with our surrounding neighbors. We recently sent information out about not parking or picking up students in the retirement community next to us. We ask the same thing with the business community across the street. Those locations are not meant for parents to park and wait for their student.
Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.
Progress Reports - 1st Quarter progress reports will be posted this Friday, September 4th. Progress reports will be available through ParentVue. They are not mailed.
Entering Campus - All students entering campus must show their physical ID and students will be checked in electronically. If students forget their ID, they will be sent directly to the bookstore to get an ID before heading to class.

What is Proposition 438, and why does it matter for our schools?
Prop 438 is a continuation of Agua Fria High School District’s existing Maintenance & Operations Budget Override. It funds critical day-to-day essentials, like keeping high-quality teachers in classrooms, maintaining campus safety personnel, and expanding career programs like Nursing, IT, and Trades.
Best of all? It maintains our current voter-approved funding with no tax rate increase! Without it, our district faces over $12 million in annual budget reductions.
Securly Home App
Securly Home is now available! Securly is the platform our district uses to help monitor student activity on school-issued Chromebooks and support safe, responsible digital citizenship. With the Securly Home App, parents and guardians can now have greater visibility into their student’s online activity.
Learn more about Securly Home and how to get started at https://mhs.aguafria.org/resources/securly-home-app.
Physical IDs
For the safety and security of our campus, all staff and students are required to wear a physical ID at all times while on campus. Replacement IDs can be purchased in the bookstore for $2 for the first 2 and then $5 for each additional.
RTI Sign Up Reminder
Students, be sure to plan ahead and sign up for your RTI sessions before the weekly deadlines!
Monday & Tuesday RTI: Sign up or make changes by Sunday at 5:00 PM.
Thursday & Friday RTI: Sign up or make changes by Wednesday at 5:00 PM.
After the 5:00 PM deadline, you will no longer be able to make changes to your RTI sessions for those days.

Chromebook Troubles
Students having issues with their Chromebook need to visit the library counter. Students are required to have our campus technicians do any and all repairs to their device. The DPP is a great way to ensure these repairs are covered. This coverage does need to be renewed each school year. As a reminder, personal devices are not allowed to be used on campus.
School Hours, Attendance, and Tardy
Our school hours are from 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Wednesdays. Students need to arrive on campus with enough time to arrive to their classes before the late bell rings. Please be sure to accommodate entering campus through security devices. There will be lines to enter campus.
- Regular student attendance is necessary to provide the greatest opportunity for student academic success.
- If you need to call in an absence for your student, please contact 623-932-7200 Extension 2 and leave your student’s name, ID number, date, and the reason for the absence and it will be processed as soon as possible.
- Students who are late to any class during the day will be marked tardy. 5 tardies to a class will be the equivalent of 1 absence for the class.
- Attendance Appeals will be held when a student misses 10 or more classes in a particular course.
- An Attendance Appeal could result in the loss of credit for the student. Please refer to the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook and review the district policy regarding attendance and tardiness.
Don't be Late to Class!
"The time you take to prepare shows the respect you have for the opportunity." - William Arthur Ward
Part of our Portrait of a Graduate is to prepare students to be responsible adults. This includes being on time to all classes every day.
Students who are more than 15 minutes late to class will be marked absent for that period. An accumulation of 5 tardies will equal 1 absence.
Consequences
5 tardies - Detention
10 tardies - Extended detention
15 tardies - Office referral (may result in ISS or OSS)
