Out and About in the Schools

The third grade Science Experiences program is beginning its turn at Memorial! Students work with the robots over a period of weeks and end in a Jamboree that puts the robots through a competitive pace of maneuvers.

The robot kits rotate through the schools and students start by learning to build the robot.

Once constructed, students learn how to make it move in specific directions and ways.

Paper Gardens

The annual Paper Gardens creative writing competition is now open for submissions from both students and adults.

Entries must be submitted online. If you need help, the McMinnville Public Library is offering two sessions of in-person assistance with creating a free Submittable account and submitting an entry.

Thursday, Jan. 19 from 6 - 7 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 23 from 10 - 11 a.m.

Emergency Substitute Teachers

With RSV, the flu and COVID in winter circulation, the district is often in need of substitutes. A training for emergency substitute teachers will take place on Thursday, Jan. 19.
