πŸš—πŸ‹ Car Line & Walker Reminders

πŸ‹ Morning Car Line: Please remember that the car rider line is ONE line in the morning.

πŸ‹ Afternoon Car Line: The line will form into TWO lines in the afternoon. Please follow staff directions as you enter the car rider line.

πŸ‹ Please do not park in front of the school while the car rider line is moving. This creates a safety concern and can interfere with the flow of traffic. If the line is moving, please remain in the car rider line.

Battle of the Books

North Carolina Battle of the Books is a statewide reading competition that encourages students to read, discuss, and demonstrate their knowledge of selected books. Students read from an official list of titles and work individually or as a team to prepare for questions about characters, settings, plots, and important details. The program promotes a love of reading while strengthening comprehension, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills. At the competition, teams answer questions about the books and earn points for correct responses, creating a fun and engaging way for students to celebrate reading and challenge themselves.

We are excited to continue offering Battle of the Books to 4th-5th grade students, as well as select 3rd graders.

Please consider donating to our Battle of the Books wish list

Note: We will also happily accept pre-loved/thrifted copies of these books!
