Hello Everyone!

I am so excited that tomorrow (12 hours from now!!) officially starts our 2024 Marching Season!!!

Please see below for all the important information for our camp weeks.

Make sure you click on everything! I am putting in a lot of information.

If you have not filled out the marching shirt order form...PLEASE do that asap!

We will also be sending out our spirit wear form in the next few days for everyone to purchase JICHS Band wear! We want everyone to show their love and support for our students!

As always, if you have questions, please reach out and ask!

I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow, and everyone next week!

Marching Band Shirt Order Form

Schedules

Rookie Camp/Percussion Camp

Rookie Camp – for ANYONE planning on marching who did not march last year. Also open to any veteran marcher to dust off the marching band cobwebs! We will hold Rookie Camp Wednesday – Friday July 24 – 26 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

All percussionists will have rehearsal Wednesday – Friday July 24 – 26 from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. Courtney will be reaching out to everyone about specifics for Percussion Camp.

Band Camp Schedule

Monday July 29th – Thursday Aug 2nd

8:00 am – 12:00 pm Outside rehearsal – Warm-up/stretches, Fundamentals, Drill

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch (provided by JICHS Band Backers) – Please make sure we are aware of any food allergies

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Master classes (lead by professional teachers)

2:00 pm – 3:15 pm Chamber Ensembles (lead by professional teachers)

3:30 pm – 5:00 pm Full Ensemble

Friday Aug 2nd

8:00 am – 12:00 pm Outside rehearsal – Warm-up/stretches, Fundamentals, Drill

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch (provided by JICHS Band Backers)

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Full Ensemble

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm 1st annual Section Lip Sync Contest!!

5:30 pm End of Camp Performance – JICHS Auditorium and Band

What To Do and How To Prepare for BAND CAMP July 29th - August 2nd It will be a very long, hot & grueling week, but it will be worth it in the end, and you will learn A LOT during this time. Students must bring with them: · Instrument/Equipment/Sticks/Mallets, etc.

Band Camp Donation and Volunteer Sign Ups

BAND CAMP DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS

Band Camp starts Monday July 29th thru Friday August 2nd. We are looking forward to preparing an awesome experience for your kids! The JICHS Band Backers will be providing lunch every day. However, we are asking parents for some donations of items that will be provided to the kids through out the week for breakfast, lunches, snacks and Friday evenings dinner.

Post Camp Dessert Social Sign-up

BAND CAMP DESSERT SOCIAL

We are excited for Band Camp! We will be ending the week with a Band Camp Showcase and Dessert Social. Band Backers will be providing dinner to campers on Friday between 4-5pm. Please join us afterwards at 5:30 for a performane of all of the fun and exciting things the campers have learned followed by a dessert social to celebrate all our kid's hard work.
