Tuesday Notice

In the spirit of Global Play Day, typically held in February, we will be having a CPS Day of Free Play this Thursday April 13th. Students are able to bring toys from home, but we ask for school appropriate toys and nothing that has batteries or screens. If you're able to label the item that would also be appreciated! We ask that you not send irreplaceable toys or things of great sentimental value as we would feel terrible if something happened.

Please contact your student's teacher if you have additional questions.

We need your ideas! Please come to a China community workshop on April 24th at 5:00 p.m. at the Town Office to brainstorm projects that would benefit the Town of China and its residents. The outcome of the session will be included in our application to become a Community Resilience Partner (CRP) through Maine’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future. The partnership enables us to apply for Community Action Grants and other support for projects that reduce our carbon footprint and increase our ability to avoid potential hazards due to climate change. Please come add to the list and help us prioritize on the 24th at 5:00! If you cannot attend but would like to submit your ideas, please email Select Board member Janet Preston at Janet.Preston@ChinaMaine.org.
