Anoka-Hennepin Unified Track and Field Day
Blaine High School proudly participated in a first ever Anoka-Hennepin Unified Track and Field Day. This inspiring event pairs Athletes (students with disabilities) and Partners (students without disabilities) for a full day of athletic competition, teamwork, and celebration. Held at Champlin Park High School, the inclusive meet highlighted the power of connection and community as Athletes and Partners competed side-by-side in a variety of track and field activities. The event embodied the true spirit of inclusion, creating opportunities for students to encourage one another, build friendships, and celebrate each other’s successes.
The day began with Athletes and Partners entering the stadium to upbeat music and enthusiastic cheers from students and staff from Champlin Park High School. The energy and joy from all participants throughout the stadium was contagious as participants moved through a wide range of activity stations including obstacle courses, long jump, face painting, spoon-and-egg race, and many more. Smiles, laughter, and encouragement could be seen everywhere as teammates supported one another and celebrated every accomplishment, big and small.
This first ever Anoka Hennepin Unified Track and Field Day showcased more than athletic ability; it demonstrated the importance of belonging, acceptance, and school pride across the Anoka-Hennepin School District. The joy shared among Athletes and Partners was palpable and infectious, creating memories that will last far beyond the competition itself. For Blaine High School students and staff, it was truly an amazing day to Be a Bengal!

E Bike
To our Blaine High School families:
As the weather warms up and more people head outside, we’re seeing a noticeable
increase in the use of electric bikes and scooters throughout Blaine. To help keep
everyone safe, the Blaine Police Department is launching a summer public safety
campaign focused on education and increased enforcement along our paths and
trails.
We ask that you take a few minutes to review this information with your
child. Understanding the rules, riding responsibly, and being aware of others can
prevent injuries and ensure our shared spaces remain safe and welcoming for
everyone. Safety is a shared responsibility - by modeling good habits and
reinforcing these guidelines, we can all do our part to protect our community and
be considerate neighbors.
Thank you for your attention to this content.
Stay safe.
