THE BEAR ESSENTIALS

Week of April 28, 2025

THE BEARESSENTIALSWeek of April 28, 2025

Dear Bear Families,

There continues to be GREAT THINGS happening at our high school... our music and theater departments will be showcasing their vast talents in the spring musical Zombie Prom, the students continue to challenge themselves academically and athletically, our staff are dedicated to providing environments conducive to learning, and our administrative assistants (who we celebrated this past week) keep the high school running smoothly.

We are busy putting plans in place for the week of May 5th - Teacher Appreciation Week. Many of you have responded to our request for donations and we are grateful. We feel so supported by you.

Friday, May 2nd marks the end of the progress report period so you will get one more academic status report prior to the end of the semester. We continue to provide free after-school tutoring by our teachers four days a week in our library. If your student is struggling in any subject, have them come to Homework Den. This runs from 3-4pm on all school days except Wednesdays.

Go Bears!

Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Hickey, Ms. Wojtowicz, & Mr. Schley

Tardiness Tardiness

Being on time to school helps set the stage for a positive and productive day of learning. Recently, we have had a larger number of students arriving to school late. Please remind students of the importance of punctuality. Also, if students would like to stop in the cafe for breakfast each day, they should arrive early enough to do so. The cafeteria begins serving breakfast at 7:30am. Thanks for your help on this!

Practice AP Test Available Practice AP Test Available

We will be holding our Practice AP Tests on May 1. Students will be assigned to either the AM or PM session, and those participating will be excused for that half day of school.

Please note that AP Psychology (APSYCH) students will take their tests in the morning, while all other AP tests are scheduled for the afternoon.

We currently have only 13 spots left for participants!

Testing Out Testing Out

If you are interested in testing out of a class, please see your counselor for assistance. Please note that the last day to sign up for testing out of a class is May 9.
