New Mindess School AP selected
ASHLAND, Mass. — Coming from Warren Elementary School, Kate Altman has been named the new assistant principal for Mindess Elementary School, replacing Todd Kittleson, who stepped down from the role to take a position in another school district.
As a skilled educator with over 15 years of experience, Altman has served as the assistant principal at the Warren School for the last five years. She was recently named Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year by the Massachusetts School Administrators Association.
“I'm thankful for Mr. Kittleson's years of service to our school and wish him all the best in his new role,” Principal Jenna Larrenaga said. “While it's a critical time in our transition to a new school year and a new building, our school community is excited to have Mrs. Altman join our team. She not only has the credentials but also leadership experience in our district, and we are fortunate to have her."
School district officials have launched a search for a new assistant principal for the Warren School, intending to have someone in place by August.
The first day of school for grades 1-12 is Sept. 5.
