Congratulations to our Top 3 Ranking Livonia PTA/PTSA units!

1. Webster Elementary School with 7250 points

2. Riley Upper Elementary School with 6650 points

3. Stevenson High School with 6400 points

Congratulations to all of our PTA/PTSA units for doing such an amazing job this year! Keep up the great work for the rest of this year and into next year. Remember, PEP points can be earned from May 1st through April 30th every school year.

I want to take this moment to say thank you for entrusting me with Livonia PTSA Council's PTA/PTSA Excellence Program (PEP). It has truly been a pleasure to be the chairperson for the last few years. I've been able to meet some of you amazing people, helped with several things because of PEP, and have been so honored to be here when you have reached out to me. As of June 30th, I will no longer be the PEP Chair. That will be passed along to the next person.

Please be sure to continue sending all of your PEP submissions to the PEP email, PEP@livoniaptsacouncil.org, to ensure your PTA/PTSA unit receives proper credit in a timely manner. The next PEP chairperson will be able to receive those emails.

Thank you!

Sara Bennett

Livonia PTSA Council, PEP chair

As the current year comes to an end, now is the time to focus on the next year and how to earn members in the upcoming school year. Do you have a Membership Chair? Do you have any Membership incentive ideas? Are you planning on encouraging families to sign up to become members at the beginning of the school year? It's never too early to start thinking about how to earn more members.

As a reminder, the funds you collect for all new members not only makes them a member of your unit's PTA/PTSA, but it also makes them a member of the Michigan and National PTAs. For every new member, your unit needs to remit $5.50 per new member to the Michigan PTA by the 28th of that month.

The annual PTA/PTSA Membership dues owed to Livonia PTSA are due no later than October 28th. The Livonia PTSA Membership form was provided in Officer's Training folders for your unit.

Kindly,

Nicole Dant, Membership Chair

Frost Middle

Congratulations to our 2023-2024 winner of the Frost Senior Service Scholarship, Michael Nowell! Michael received a $500 award, which he can use toward his expenses next year.

Michael will be graduating from Stevenson this year and plans to study Economics at U of M Ann Arbor. When we asked Michael about his favorite Frost memory, he said:

"One of my core memories from Frost was the amazing Maker Space in the library. Mr. Chinavare was always willing to help my friends and me as we learned more about problem solving and working together. Any chance that I could, I would go down with my friends to the library, where we would learn more about the 3D printer, learn to make music on Garageband, or even use a green screen. I think this memory perfectly encapsulates Frost Middle School. No matter what, our creativity was encouraged and we were able to learn new skills and have fun with friends all within the Frost library."

Congratulations and best of luck to Michael!!

Hoover Elementary

Phew! What a whirlwind month it's been!

We started off with a "Star Studded" Staff Appreciation week, with gift bags, gift cards, popcorn and snacks, Buddy's Pizza, breakfast from LIB and Brunch Cafe. We showcased the staff "Before They Were Stars" and treated them like the stars they are!

We admired the beautiful Northern lights SOARing over Hoover!

And we hosted our Spring Carnival, which was a HUGE success. Raffle Baskets, popcorn, Kona Ice, cotton candy, balloon animals, photo booth and DJ! We had lots of happy Hoover Rockets!

It's been a wonderful year here at Hoover, and we can't wait to do it again next year ... with much of our board returning for another go round!

Have a wonderful summer!

Randolph Elementary

Our Randolph Roadrunners, and the PTA, are ending the year with a Bang. In May, the PTA treated our teachers and staff with an out of this world experience. Our lounge was decorated and filled with yummy goodies for our teachers to enjoy. Thank you so much to everyone who donated and participated in our fundraisers throughout the year. We appreciate our entire Randolph Roadrunner community and we wouldn’t be able to create these fun experiences without each of you!

We also hosted the spring fling and our last book fair of the year. The end of year celebration is on June 5th and we will be having our usual fan favorite, Crazy Craig. Our Randolph families will be able to enjoy bounce houses and top notch food trucks as we celebrate such an amazing year! Last but not least, a HUGE thank you to our PTA that has put so much into helping support all our families and school needs for our kids. You are all so deserving of appreciation. Thank you, thank you! We are also welcoming Kimberly Willis who will be stepping in for Carly Manzo-Tluczek. Kimberly will be our 1st VP. Welcome Kim and thank you Carly for two great years. We hope all LPS families have a great end of the year and enjoy a fun and eventful summer!

Webster Elementary

Like many other schools, we celebrated our staff at Webster during the first full week of May. Our theme was "Let us Lift you up." Each day had a different theme: Drink Up, Wake Up, Eat Up, Snack Up, and Live It Up. The staff lounge was decorated with hot air balloons, balloons, and notes from students. The staff also received a new countertop ice maker and Keurig coffee maker. We hope they felt the love! We had a busy end of the month helping plan activities such as Science/STEAM fair, 6th grade graduation, and Family 3 Frenzy. We hope you all have a wonderful summer!
