Pickens County Family Connection Vision:
We envision a Pickens County where every child, family, and community is healthy and thriving!
As I sit down to write this message, I can't help but feel incredibly excited about this season for Pickens County Family Connection. For many years, our organization has dreamed of having a place to call home, a space where we could expand our services, welcome people in, and create even more opportunities to serve our community. Seeing that dream become a reality has been truly special.
On a personal level, this project means so much to me. For years, I have dreamed of creating a "third space" for our community, a place outside of home and work where people can gather, connect, find support, access resources, and simply belong. I imagined it in many different ways over the years, but what has come to life through the Community Resource Center is even better than I could have hoped for.
What makes me happiest is knowing that this isn't just our space, it's your space. It belongs to the community. Whether you need a quiet place to work, a comfortable space to meet with clients, a location for a group gathering, or an opportunity to connect with others, our doors are open!
The energy and excitement surrounding the Center have been incredible. Our calendar is already filling with support groups, classes, clubs, and community events, and I can't wait to see all the ways this space will continue to grow and bring people together. My hope is that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed, supported, and connected!
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Whether you are a longtime partner, a volunteer, a supporter, or someone visiting for the first time, you are helping make this vision possible. We look forward to continuing to connect, equip, and empower our community, together.
If you'd like to learn more about the Community Resource Center, schedule a meeting, or explore ways to get involved, please reach out. We'd love to hear from you!

At Pickens County Family Connection, data helps guide every decision we make. It allows us to better understand our community's strengths, identify areas of need, and ensure our efforts are focused where they can have the greatest impact. But data is more than numbers and statistics—it tells a story. The story of Pickens County. Behind every data point are real people, families, and experiences that help us understand where we are as a community and where we want to go. As you explore the data highlighted in this section, we invite you to look beyond the numbers and consider the story they tell, because understanding our community's story is the first step toward creating meaningful change together.
