December Parent Newsletter
Welcome to the Season of Love
Principal's Message
Welcome to the month of Giving!
Thank you all for another month of partnership and participation! I am looking forward to all of the fun things that December will hold. We have just a couple of weeks left in December before our Christmas break, and it is important that we make the most of our time.
Please help us keep our school attendance on the right track by making sure your cub is here each and every day!
THINGS ARE CHANGING: Arrival and Dismissal
Dear Families,
To support a smoother and safer start to each school day, I want to provide clear expectations for morning arrival. When dropping off your student in the morning:
- Please review the map attached and ensure that you are pulling all the way up in the car rider drop off lane. If possible, please have your student seated on the passenger side of the vehicle for an easier exit.
- Parents when exiting the lot- please drive slowly- we have students and families crossing the parking lot.
- Please park in a designated space! Parking without care creates congestion in our lot.
- Parents cannot enter the building through our arrival doors. If you need any assistance- please enter through our main office.
Lastly, we will be updating our arrival procedures. These changes are designed to reduce the number of exterior doors open and in turn allow for a safer entrance into the building. This change will take effect on January 5th, and we appreciate your cooperation as we make adjustments to create a safer and more efficient arrival for our students.
Arrival doors will be adjusted as follows:
Kinder will continue entering through the main entrance.
1st/2nd will enter through Door 18
3rd/4th/5th will enter through Door 7
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the main office or your child's teacher!
Student Attendance
Please join me in saying congratulations to 4th and 3rd grade parents!
4th grade students had the highest percentage of students at school AGAIN on time during the month of November! 3rd grade students came in a close second place!
Starting Monday- 12/8- Any students who are on time and present from the December 8th-19th will have an ice cream social when we return from Christmas break!
Thank you, parents, for ensuring that your students arrive to school on time and ready to learn!
Thank you, parents, as you are the ATTENDANCE CHAMPS!
