Happy Heart Week!

We are now getting to the middle of February, and the weather is showing there is no stopping winter so far! Please remember to send your students to school with plenty of warm clothing, and extra socks and mitts on the days where it might be wet and mucky on the yard!

We had a great week last week here at Maple! Thanks to our Board's equity team for coming in to do presentations with the whole school about equity, and how every student can have an impact on making everyone feel welcome and valued in our school community, and the general community as well!

We do have a SAC meeting this Tuesday, February 11th. Please feel free to join us, and there is childcare available! We value everyone's opinion, and happy to share all the updates of the amazing things happening at Maple and all the wonderful things our SAC is doing to support our students and staff here!

The Limestone District School Board is seeking community members to join the Community Equity Advisory Committee (CEAC). This committee helps create a fair and inclusive environment for students, staff, and the community. Members should have a connection with the Board and bring diverse perspectives. Reporting A Student's Absence:

The new student absence reporting system will let you use a mobile app, a website, or an interactive toll-free phone number to report an absence in advance. These options are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Future absences can be reported at any time.

If your student is marked absent and the absence hasn’t been reported in advance, our new SafeArrival system will attempt to reach the student’s priority contact by telephone to confirm the absence. If our system is unable to reach the designated contacts, school office staff will follow up.
