4th Grade Newsletter

In the Classroom
Hello parents!
We sure have a great group of kids in fourth grade this year! Our first month of school seemed to fly by as kids were very excited to be back at school. We have completed our beginning of the year assessments. We will use the results of these assessments to guide our teaching by learning what students already know, and what they are ready to learn.
A classroom newsletter will be sent home bi-weekly. If there is anything that needs immediate attention, we will send out a blackboard message to help keep parents informed.
Feel free to contact your student's teacher with questions or concerns. You can contact us through email or written note.

Please make sure your child has appropriate gear for recess. Students will enjoy fresh air and outdoor recess rain or shine.
Homework Update
The district released information recently that homework is no longer required for the report card. Moving forward we recommend that your child reads 30 minutes a day and work on their spelling lists. You can also refer to your math family letter that is coming home at the beginning of each lesson. We are on a 6 session rotation so your child will not be coming home with a spelling list on Monday. It could come home on any day of the week. If you want additional work for your child please reach out to their homeroom teacher.
