Lincoln News

💙 Kudos to Renee and Tessa for their flexibility and collaboration to determine the instructional needs of their shared student. Such powerful work!

💛 Thank you to our Lincoln grade-level leaders (Heather, Renee, and Gretchen) for sharing information about the NWEA reports at our late start on Wednesday.

💙 Melaina has worked tirelessly to adjust her schedule in order to begin her Trails groups, all while balancing the need to fulfill her Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction and her crisis intervention each and every day--Amazing work, Melaina!

💛Thank you to Michelle and Miranda who have made sure our students have cold lunches for their field trips. Please make sure to contact the kitchen at least 30 days in advance of a field trip if your students will be gone for lunch. (More than 30 days is even better!)

💙 It is exciting to see so many of our students getting extra tutoring before and after school. The extra funding from the state is making a difference for a number of our students. The enthusiasm from our teachers that have taken on this challenge is infectious! Thanks for bringing your creativity and energy to our students!

Lunch Seating Charts

Lunch seating charts help us to ensure that students are sitting in their assigned seats and not moving to areas where they will be less successful. It will also help our new lunch monitors/subs learn names more quickly. Only 2 classrooms turned them in last month and only 5 this month. Please print and get to the office ASAP.

Technology Festival--2023 Changes

After much consideration and discussion, SJPS has decided not to proceed with holding the Ren Baldwin Student Technology Showcase this spring. Our administrative team, in partnership with our library media team and T3s, are, however, actively generating ideas to best showcase the incredible work our teachers and students accomplish every day through your authentic, purposeful integration. Please share any ideas you might have with your building leader(s), T3s, and/or teacher librarians.

NWEA Reports

Our grade-level leaders shared information with teams regarding NWEA reports. Here are a few reminders:

The class profile is new and a great report to use as it is interactive. Remember not to turn this into a pdf or it will no longer be interactive. This report is special as it will lead you to individual student profiles. Click on the tab that reads "test details" to switch between subject areas and look at student and class data. By clicking the words percentile or RIT, scores are reorganized instantly.

The student profile is perfect for IRIP's and conferences. Select a student and next steps for upcoming learning--perfect for those of you that are tutoring. This report can identify ways that parents can help at home as well.

The learning continuum, which many of us are familiar with, is also an interactive report. It can assist with grouping, intervention, and enrichment for instructional purposes.

Remember, we have many sources of data to look at--NWEA, F&P, running records, Lexia, formative assessments, and many more. All of these are sources of information that will help to guide instruction and assist with forming small groups. Looking at multiple sources of data is important for our students.

If you have questions about NWEA reports and data, please ask me. I can either help or learn right along side you to find the answers!

✔️ Check List

✔️ Remember to watch the news every day--this is our way for students to get school information, celebrate other students and school events, and have the opportunity for the Pledge of Allegiance each day (our legal responsibility)

✔️Report IRIP Data

✔️ Finalize communication with families around your class party.

✔️One more week to get your things from the basement

✔️Consider giving someone a message of gratitude 💙 💛

✔️Read our Lincoln Family Blog to stay current on what families see from our school (not updated until 3:00 pm on Sundays)
